GLASSMORPHISM UI

Glassmorphism UI is a unified name for the popular Frosted Glass aesthetic.

The effect is based on background blur with transparency, and uses stacked layers to show the depth and context of the interface.

Wimbledon 2025

The Glassmorphism UI technique is used extensively in the Wimbledon Tennis Championship “On screen” graphics.

Apple OS26

The Apple software update in 2025 (OS26) introduced the Glassmorphism UI into the look and feel of the interface.

NEUMORPHISM UI

Neumorphic elements sit right on top of the background surface and pretend to extrude from the background. They are usually a raised shape made from the very similar material as the background. When we look at it from the side we see that it doesn’t “float”.
